Job summary

Public Mutual Berhad in Malaysia is seeking a Senior System Security Engineer to safeguard OS and application security across the enterprise. You will install, configure and manage next-generation firewalls, endpoint protections, NACs, and DLP solutions, while ensuring system integrity.

The role emphasizes patch management, policy tuning, system upgrades, and leading security infrastructure projects from planning to deployment in compliance with internal policies and risk requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in System Security, System Administration, or IT infrastructure.
• Knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, enterprise networking, and security systems.
• Understanding of NIST Cyber Security Framework (CSF) and Securities Commission Malaysia’s Guidelines on Technology Risk Management (GTRM).
• Familiar with PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripting for automation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with cyber risk awareness.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and manage enterprise security platforms such as next generation firewalls, endpoint protection systems, network access controls, and data loss prevention (DLP) solutions.
• Maintain the stability and security of system infrastructure through patch management, policy tuning, and system upgrades.
• Manage security infrastructure projects from planning to deployment while ensuring compliance with internal policies and risk requirements.
