Job summary

FK Technology in Malaysia is seeking an IT Security Engineer to review security architecture, identify gaps, and recommend enhancements using security-by-design principles. You will participate in cyber security design reviews and support integration, testing, and documentation for new IT systems.

The role requires 3+ years in IT security architecture and in security assessments, with relevant certifications such as Fortinet NSE 6/7 or SSCP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Information Security or related field preferred.
• IT Security Architecture: 3+ years experience.
• Design & development of cybersecurity solutions: 3 years (Required)
• Performing security assessments in an IT environment: 3 years (Required)
• Fortinet Certified Solution Specialist Secure Networking (Required)
• SSCP – Systems Security Certified Practitioner (Required)

Responsibilities

• Review existing IT security architecture, identify design gaps, and recommend security enhancements by using security by design approach
• Participate in IT Cybersecurity Design reviews
• Take part in technical design reviews, integration, testing, and documentation activities concerning new IT systems
• IT Security advisory: Serve as an IT security expert and advisor to Cyber Security Architect teams, Cyber Security Operation (CSOC and Security Operation) and Business Unit team
• IT Security technology monitoring: Review security technologies, tools and services, and make recommendations
• Support development of IT Cybersecurity standards and baselines
