Job summary

A leading Malaysian IT provider is seeking a skilled IT professional to manage their hardware and network infrastructure. The role involves installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT systems while ensuring security and efficiency. Candidates should possess a Post-Graduate Diploma in relevant fields and have at least 2 years of experience in network topology and security. Hands-on experience with various technologies such as Windows Server and SQL databases is essential, alongside the ability to develop relationships with vendors and keep the company’s IT direction aligned.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in network topology & security and retail equipment.
• Comprehensive understanding of network architecture and client/server technology.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server 2012 onward operating systems, patching, backup/restore.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory and windows clustering technologies.
• Hands-on experience working with SAN/NAS storage sub-systems.
• Experience with SQL databases management such as backup, recovery, and maintenance.
• Experience with firewall management and other network security devices.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for installation and maintenance of all IT Hardware, infrastructure, and services.
• Oversees network/server/workstation maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Administers disaster plans that keep the company functional.
• Coordinates the team to ensure task schedules are on track.
