Job description

The IT Executive will be responsible for delivering comprehensive technical support for end-user computing environments in the Kuala Lumpur region. This includes managing hardware/software issues, user lifecycle management, IT compliance, and contributing to regional IT initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to IT operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on support for onboarding and offboarding processes, including device setup and user access provisioning.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, operating systems (Windows/macOS), Microsoft Office Suite, VPN/Wi-Fi/LAN connectivity, and collaboration tools (e.g., video conferencing, VoIP).
  • Perform routine IT maintenance such as OS/software installation, upgrades, patching, and antivirus updates.
  • Manage and maintain user accounts and access rights in Active Directory and Microsoft 365, including license assignment and password resets.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security policies, enforce endpoint protection standards, and raise user awareness on cybersecurity practices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets, support tickets, troubleshooting guides, and internal IT processes.
  • Provide remote and on-site support, delivering a high standard of customer service with clear communication.
  • Assist in managing small to mid-sized IT projects, such as system rollouts, software migrations, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Support internal IT audits, contribute to policy creation, and ensure adherence to ITIL and SLA best practices.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in IT support or desktop support roles.
  • Proven track record in end-to-end IT operations, including troubleshooting, networking, and infrastructure support.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and endpoint management tools.
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge in PC hardware, Microsoft OS/macOS, network fundamentals, and IT asset management.
  • Familiarity with IT security concepts and tools.
  • Proficiency in documentation, ticketing systems, and remote support platforms.
Preferred Certifications
  • Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (or MCSE)
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or equivalent
