Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced MES specialist to lead end-to-end MES deployments, optimize PMS, IPQC, LMS, and WMS modules, and coordinate shop-floor system integrations. You will work with SCADA, HMI, and PLC teams to ensure robust data capture, reporting, and traceability across manufacturing operations.
The role requires 3+ years in MES or industrial automation, a solid MES architecture understanding, and hands-on experience with ERP-MES integration.

End-to-end MES implementation projects, including requirement gathering, system design, testing, deployment, user training, and go-live support.
Optimize core MES modules, including:
Production Management System (PMS)
In-Process Quality Control (IPQC)
Reporting/B2B Integration
Process Control (PC)
Logistics Management System (LMS)
Warehouse Management System (WMS)
Ensure MES solutions align with business objectives, manufacturing processes, and quality requirements.
Drive MES system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
Coordinate integration between MES and shop-floor automation systems.
Collaborate with equipment, automation, and engineering teams to establish communication interfaces between MES and:
SCADA Systems
Human Machine Interface (HMI)
PLC Controllers
Support machine connectivity, real-time production monitoring, and data collection initiatives.
Develop and maintain manufacturing reports, dashboards, and KPIs.
Analyze production, quality, and equipment data to identify process improvement opportunities.
Troubleshoot system issues through database analysis and root-cause investigation.
Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and traceability across manufacturing systems.
MES project planning, execution, and resource coordination.
Provide technical guidance and training to users and support teams.
Monitor MES performance and system availability.
Support incident resolution and preventive maintenance activities.
Evaluate emerging manufacturing technologies and recommend improvements.
Support digital transformation and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, Automation Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in MES, manufacturing systems, or industrial automation environments.
Proven experience leading full MES implementation projects and successful go-live deployments.
Experience in electronics, semiconductor, automotive, or high-volume manufacturing environments preferred.
Experience managing cross-functional technical teams and stakeholders.
Strong knowledge of MES architecture and manufacturing operations.
Hands-on experience with MES modules including PMS, IPQC, Traceability, Kanban, Reporting/B2B, PC, LMS, and WMS.
Solid understanding of manufacturing automation systems:
SFC
SCADA
HMI
PLC
Proficient in SQL databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Strong data analysis, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis capabilities.
Knowledge of ERP-MES integration and manufacturing data exchange standards.
Familiarity with Industry 4.0, IIoT, and Smart Factory initiatives is preferred.
