Job summary

SLS Bearings (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking an Application Software Engineer to develop, maintain, and enhance software functionalities in line with technical specifications. You will participate in all SDLC phases, analyze requirements, design systems, and implement solutions while coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver features on time.

The role emphasizes client application design understanding, timely delivery, and collaboration within a manufacturing-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or equivalent.
• Advanced knowledge of front end and back end programming languages (VB.Net, SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS).
• Experience in iOS and/or Android development.
• 2–3 years of application development experience.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Results oriented with ability to deliver tasks on time.

Join our growing IT team as an Application Software Engineer. In this role, you will responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing functionalities in line with technical and functional specifications.

What will you be expected to do?

Responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining functionalities that meet the specifications of the technical and functional design.
• Participate in all phases of SDLC activities including requirements gathering and analysis, system design, development and implementation, user and technical documentation.
• Troubleshoot, analyze, define and implement solutions relating to bug, change request and enhancement.
• Understanding of client application design and architecture
• Work within cross functional teams to drive the implementation of new features as well as resolve operational issues
• To review requirements to provide a timeline estimate for coding.

What we are looking for?

Requirements:

• Candidate must posses at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Professional Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
• Advanced knowledge of front end and back end programming languages, such as VB.Net, SQL Server , SSIS and SSRS Development
• Experience in iOS and/or Android development
• Working experience between 2-3 year(s) in application development is required for this position
• Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply
• Results oriented, focuses on achieving well defined results within agreed timeline.
• Able to work in dynamic environment with minimal supervision
• Must be able to complete task on time.
• Work cooperatively with the team to ensure quality of product.
