Job summary

SYNTIANT MALAYSIA MANUFACTURING SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced software developer to create and support in-house applications that drive business growth in manufacturing and OA systems.

You will analyze problems, propose effective solutions, and ensure delivery within defined objectives. The role requires 5+ years in Windows or web-based development, strong OO programming skills, and familiarity with .NET, SQL procedures, and Oracle PL/SQL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or IT is required.
• 5+ years in Windows or web-based application development.
• Strong OO programming, communication, analytical and time management skills.
• Experience with Microsoft technologies and database programming.
• Familiarity with manufacturing systems and SDLC methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop new in-house applications and support existing ones for business growth.

Job description

1. Develop new in-house applications and provide support to maintain or enhance the existing in-house application to further support for business growth or process change, including the manufacturing systems and office automation (OA) systems related.

2. Uses established fact-finding procedures, knowledge of work processes and procedure, system software and computer equipment to provide required analysis of business or process problem.

3. Understanding the routine user problem or company business need. And, solves them by enhancing the existing system or propose appropriate new solution.

4. Works within defined objectives, priorities, dead line and adapts guidelines to specific situations.

5. Receive general instructions for specific and ongoing assignments and refers problems and unfamiliar situations to supervisor; finished work and methods are checked.

6. Prepares and gives presentations to internal work groups. Train end users on established in-house applications.

7. Provides on-call support and problem resolution for in-house applications.

8. Assists to solve technical problems for users. And, perform basic administrative functions in order to help and maintain network file system.

10. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned from time to time.

Requirement

Education : Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.

Experience : 5+ years in windows or web-based application development.

Skill : Programming with object oriented experience, communication, logical thinking, analytical, project management, time management

Special Requirements

1. Good technical skills and development experience by using Microsoft technologies such as .NET (ASP, VB, C#), MS SQL Store Procedure and Oracle PL/SQL

2. Good experience with manufacturing systems is preferred.

3. Understanding of system development by using SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) methodology.

4. Works independently with minimum supervision.

5. Familiar with Camstar development is a plus
