Job summary

Regent International School in Malaysia seeks a Consultant - Teacher, Islamic Studies to inspire primary and secondary students. Plan and teach Studies lessons, prepare engaging materials, and assess progress in line with IPC/IGCSE curricula.

You will support students’ academic and personal growth, foster good manners and values, and actively participate in school events and activities, working with parents and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Studies, Shariah, Usuluddin, Education, or a related field.
• Able to teach Studies to primary and/or secondary students.
• Good command of English and/or Bahasa Melayu. Arabic is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach Studies lessons to primary and secondary students.
• Prepare simple and engaging teaching materials and classroom activities.
• Teach according to the school’s syllabus and curriculum.
• Check and monitor students’ learning progress and understanding.
• Prepare lesson plans, assignments, quizzes, tests, and other assessments.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and well-managed classroom.
• Support students in their academic and personal development.
• Encourage good manners, discipline, respect, and positive values among students.
• Communicate with parents, students, teachers, and school management when needed.
• Take part in school events, meetings, training, assemblies, and co-curricular activities.
• Assist with Quran programmes, religious events, talks, workshops, and other student activities.
• Ensure students follow school rules and maintain good behaviour and safety during school hours.
