Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Studies, Shariah, Usuluddin, Education, or a related field.
• Able to teach the subjects at the primary and/or secondary level.
• Strong knowledge of the subject and the ability to explain concepts clearly and appropriately to students.
• Good command of English and/or Bahasa Melayu; knowledge of Arabic is an added advantage.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates with teaching experience will have an added advantage.
• Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Passionate about teaching and committed to nurturing students’ academic, moral, and personal development.
• Patient, responsible, approachable, and able to work effectively with children and teenagers.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective Studies lessons to primary and/or secondary students.
• Develop interactive teaching materials and learning activities aligned with the school’s Studies curriculum.
• Teach the subjects according to the assigned curriculum.
• Assess and monitor students’ academic progress, understanding, participation, and development in Studies.
• Prepare lesson plans, assignments, quizzes, tests, examinations, and other assessment materials.
• Maintain effective classroom management and create a positive, respectful learning environment.
• Provide guidance and support to students in their academic, moral, and personal development.
• Encourage students to practise good values, good manners, discipline, and positive behaviour in daily life.
• Communicate effectively with parents, students, and school management regarding students’ progress, behaviour, and overall development.
• Participate in school events, programmes, assemblies, meetings, training sessions, and co-curricular activities as required.
• Support and participate in activities such as Quran programmes, religious celebrations, talks, workshops, and student development programmes.
• Ensure students’ discipline, safety, well-being, and adherence to school rules throughout school hours.
