Job summary

Nokia Solutions and Networks Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced NPI Specialist to drive new product introductions in broadband networks. You will lead demos, lab trials, field trials and type approvals, shaping customer solutions with IP routing, SR/MPLS knowledge, and CGNAT expertise.

You will collaborate with product management and pre-sales teams to ensure designs meet customer expectations and align with Nokia’s best practices, while supporting lab and customer-site use cases and post-sales

Qualifications

• 12-15 years of experience in IP data networking.
• 10+ years' experience in understanding, designing and implementing IP Routing technologies.
• 8+ years' experience in designing & implementing Broadband Network (BNG) including IPoE, PPPoE, LAC & LNS, CGNAT.

Responsibilities

• Define and run customer pre-sales activities such as demos, lab trials, field trials, and type approvals.
• Coordinate with Product Line Management and pre-sales teams to align technical solutions with customer needs.
• Advise customers on Nokia-validated design practices and architecture principles and persuade purchase of Nokia products.
• Provide technical support for demos, proofs-of-concept, trials and post-sales activities in broadband networks (BNG, IPoE/PPPoE, LAC/LNS, CGNAT).
• Validate Use Cases by staging and demonstrating in Nokia labs or customer sites to win customer confidence.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to diagnose and resolve customer design problems and assist in solution testing during pre-sales.

• Works independently and effectively in his / her area of New Product Introduction by defining and running customer pre-sales activities such as: Product or Solution Demos, Lab Trials, Field Trials, Type Approvals on our products or solutions.
• Work in close coordination with Product Line Management and pre-sales teams to align technical solutions with customer expectations and advise customers on Nokia-validated design best practices and architecture principles, persuading them to purchase our products and solutions.
• Interprets internal and external business challenges to improve New Product Introduction related processes and services. Also, integrate cross-domain expertise, including Broadband networks and SR/MPLS networking, and provide support as a trusted advisor.
• Solve complex problems through analytical thought and complex judgment.
• Provide technical skills and expertise for handling Demos, Proof-of-Concepts, Trials, Workshops and/or Post-Sales activities, in the area of Broadband networks (BNG - IPoE/PPPoE/LAC/LNS, Fixed Wireless Access 4G/5G, CGNAT) mainly, including but not limited to IP Routing and Switching, DC Fabric and mission critical network domain.
• Validate Use Case(s) by staging and demonstrating them in Nokia labs and/or customer site(s). You help convince the customers' technical representatives that Nokia can provide them with the best technical solution.
• Provide occasional support in diagnosing and resolving customer support requests involving network design, in close collaboration with engineering teams.
• Assist in solution testing and implementation during pre-sales phase. You will prepare and deliver design proposals with support of Pre-sales team.
• Design and support the lab for the use case dedicated to your domain. Communicate, plan and work with lab manager to book and release the equipment in the lab.
• Acts as a role model for staff / work-team / taskforces, often the most senior specialist in the team, who serves as best practice professional within own organizational unit and is recognized as an expert within the same professional area in the business.

You have:

• 12-15 years of experience in IP data networking.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or a relevant technical degree
• 10 or more years' experience in a role requiring understanding, designing and Implementing IP Routing technologies and networking protocols.
• 8 or more years' experience in designing & implementing Broadband Network i.e. BNG (for IPoE, PPPoE, LAC & LNS) and CGNAT.
• In-depth knowledge of network architecture, products, Testing tools, and processes.

It would be nice if you also had:

• Knowledgeable on Fixed Wireless Access for 4G NSA and 5G SA services.
• Knowledgeable on HQoS for end-to-end network for triple play services (Voice, Video and Data).
• Hands-on experience working in virtualization environments including KVM, Openstack, Openshift, Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience working with Testing tools like IXIA, Spirent TestCenter or BNGBlaster.
• Detailed understanding of IP/MPLS, SR, BGP EVPN concepts and related technologies.
• Nokia SRA/Virtuoso, Cisco CCIE, Juniper JNCIE or equivalent Certification are a plus.
