Job summary

Liwee Transport in Malaysia is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to develop and optimize transportation routes and schedules for efficient, cost-conscious deliveries. You will use a Transportation Management System (TMS) to plan, track, and manage shipments, and collaborate with invoicing, admin, store, and accounts to coordinate operations and reporting for management review.

Diploma holders are preferred and Mandarin is advantageous, with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement in

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent and above.
• Mandarin language skills preferred.
• Develop and optimize transportation routes and schedules for efficient, cost-effective deliveries.
• Utilize Transportation Management System (TMS) and other software to plan, track, and manage shipments.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Invoicing, Admin, Store, Account) and external partners to coordinate logistics operations.
• Monitor and analyze transportation performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Prepare reports on transportation activities, costs, and efficiency for management review.
• Respond to and resolve transportation-related issues and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist in negotiating transport fees and service agreements with customers.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transportation activities and documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics and transportation department.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize transportation routes and schedules to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of goods, considering traffic, windows, and vehicle capacity.
• Analyze transportation data including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times to identify trends and inefficiencies.
• Collaborate with customers and purchasers to coordinate logistics, resolve delivery issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Utilize TMS and other software to plan, track, and manage shipments with accurate data entry and reporting.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Assist in preparing transportation budgets and cost analyses to support decision-making.
• Communicate with drivers, carriers, and stakeholders to provide clear instructions and updates.
• Prepare accurate billing statements based on delivery receipts, rate cards, and contracts.
• Cross-check POD documents against customer orders and resolve discrepancies.
• Contribute to cost control and process improvements in logistics.
