Job summary

Oriental Fortune Trading Malaysia Sdn. Bhd is hiring an Inventory Clerk in Selangor. You will monitor stock, run counts, and ensure accurate records while coordinating with Purchasing, Warehouse and Finance to maintain optimal levels. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.

Minimum 1–3 years in inventory control or related fields, with proficiency in Excel. Mandarin-speaking interaction is preferred for client communications.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented and precise.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records (receiving, transfers, adjustments, returns).
• Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and annual stocktakes.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
• Coordinate timely stock replenishment to prevent shortages/overstock.
• Prepare and analyze inventory reports (stock movement, ageing, slow-moving).
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Warehouse, Operations, and Finance teams.
• Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures and stock rotation.
• Support continuous improvement to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records, including stock receiving, transfers, adjustments, and returns.
• Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and annual stocktakes to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, stock variances, and inventory-related issues promptly.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely stock replenishment to prevent stock shortages or overstock situations.
• Prepare and analyze inventory reports, including stock movement, stock ageing, and slow-moving inventory.
• Coordinate with the Purchasing, Warehouse, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure efficient inventory management.
• Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures, proper stock storage practices, and stock rotation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Perform other duties assigned by the management.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse, or supply chain operations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Must have your own ride.
• Applicants who are fluent in Mandarin are preferred because the role requires interaction with Mandarin-speaking clients.
