Mahnaz Retail Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an Inventory Controller to monitor and maintain stock across all outlets and warehouses. You will track stock movements, verify receipts, and coordinate timely replenishment to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
The role requires strong attention to detail, data integrity, and collaboration with Operations, Purchasing and Logistics to improve inventory controls and reduce losses.
Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records across all Mahnaz Retail outlets, warehouses and storage locations.
Track all stock movements, including goods received, stock transfers, returns, damaged goods, write-offs and inventory adjustments.
Review outlet stock levels and coordinate timely replenishment to ensure sufficient stock availability while avoiding overstocking.
Verify goods received against Purchase Orders, Delivery Orders, invoices and other supporting documents, and investigate any quantity, product or condition discrepancies.
Coordinate and conduct periodic cycle counts, monthly stock counts, annual stocktakes and spot checks at outlets when required.
Reconcile physical stock against system records, investigate stock variances and prepare appropriate variance reports and corrective actions.
Monitor inter-outlet and warehouse-to-outlet stock transfers and ensure all movements are properly recorded, documented and completed.
Identify and monitor slow-moving, ageing, excess, damaged, expired and near-expiry stock, and coordinate appropriate action such as redistribution, promotion, return or disposal.
Prepare regular inventory reports covering stock levels, stock movement, ageing, shortages, discrepancies and other inventory-related matters for management review.
Analyse inventory trends and recurring discrepancies and recommend improvements to strengthen inventory controls and reduce stock losses.
Work closely with Retail Operations, Purchasing, Logistics, Finance, warehouse personnel and outlet teams on replenishment, stock discrepancies, transfers and inventory-related issues.
Support outlet teams on inventory procedures and ensure compliance with company stock control policies and standard operating procedures.
Maintain proper documentation and filing of all inventory-related records for operational, audit and reporting purposes.
Participate in internal and external audits, stocktake exercises and inventory investigations when required.
Perform any other inventory, stock control or operational duties assigned by Management from time to time.
