Job summary

BI TECHNOLOGIES CORPORATION SDN BHD in Kuantan, Pahang, is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Manager to lead end-to-end material control activities. You will optimize inventory, ensure accuracy, manage cycle counts, and drive improvements across Planning, Procurement, Warehouse, Production, Quality, Finance and Program Management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Inventory Control, Materials Management, Supply Chain, Planning, or Warehouse operations.
  • Minimum 3–5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, cycle counting, physical inventory, E&O management, and material flow.
  • Good understanding of MRP/ERP systems preferably SAP, BOM structures, FIFO/FEFO, lot control, and material traceability.
  • Proficient in English language, both written and spoken
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Manage and control overall inventory activities to ensure accurate inventory records and effective material management.
  • Ensure sufficient material availability to support production requirements while maintaining optimum inventory levels.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy, inventory turns, DOH, aging inventory, and working capital performance.
  • Lead cycle counting and physical inventory activities and ensure timely reconciliation of inventory discrepancies.
  • Manage excess, obsolete, slow-moving, and non-moving inventory and drive appropriate disposition and recovery actions.
  • Work closely with Planning, Procurement, Warehouse, Production, Quality, Engineering, Finance, and Program Management on inventory-related matters.
  • Ensure all inventory transactions, including receipt, issuance, transfer, return, adjustment, and scrap, are accurately recorded in the ERP/MRP system.
  • Identify inventory discrepancies, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Drive inventory optimization and reduction initiatives without impacting production continuity and customer delivery.
  • Manage material liability arising from demand changes, order cancellations, engineering changes, product transitions, and end-of-life activities.
  • Ensure proper material control, traceability, FIFO/FEFO, lot control, shelf-life management, and inventory segregation.
  • Establish and maintain inventory control procedures, processes, and governance to strengthen material accountability.
  • Support NPI, production ramp-up, product transfer, and end-of-life activities from an inventory management perspective.
  • Support internal, external, financial, and customer audits related to inventory and material control.
  • Monitor inventory KPIs and provide regular inventory performance, risk, and action-plan reporting to management.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve inventory accuracy, material flow, system transactions, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Inventory Control team to ensure strong performance, competency, and accountability.
  • Ensure inventory management activities support overall Supply Chain objectives, customer requirements, cost targets, and business performance.

Job description
