Job summary

EVOLVELAND BHD. is seeking a responsible Receiving Clerk Cum Storekeeper to support hotel receiving and store operations in Miri.

The role involves processing deliveries, verifying orders, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring proper storage and hygiene across storerooms and refrigerated areas. The successful candidate will manage stock levels, perform regular cycle counts, and coordinate with Purchasing, Accounts, Kitchen, F&B, and Housekeeping to fulfill requisitions

Responsibilities

• Receive all deliveries of food, beverages, housekeeping supplies, guest amenities, engineering materials, office supplies, and other hotel-related items.
• Check delivered goods against Purchase Orders, Delivery Orders, invoices, and approved specifications.
• Verify quantities, quality, packaging, expiry dates, and condition of goods before accepting deliveries.
• Ensure all received items are properly recorded in the hotel's receiving/inventory system.
• Report shortages, damaged goods, incorrect deliveries, or quality issues to the Purchasing/Finance Department and relevant departments.
• Organize and store items in the appropriate storerooms according to hotel standards.
• Maintain proper stock rotation using FIFO/FEFO principles, particularly for food, beverages, and perishable items.
• Issue goods to Food & Beverage, Kitchen, Housekeeping, Engineering, and other hotel departments based on approved requisitions.
• Maintain accurate records of stock received, issued, transferred, and returned.
• Conduct regular physical stock counts and assist with monthly inventory taking.
• Monitor stock levels and report low-stock, excess, damaged, or expired items to the Store/Purchasing Manager.
• Ensure storerooms, receiving areas, refrigerators, and other storage facilities are clean, organized, and maintained according to hotel hygiene and safety standards.
• Assist with loading and unloading deliveries when required.
• Ensure goods are stored safely and securely to prevent damage, loss, contamination, or deterioration.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Accounts, Kitchen, F&B, Housekeeping, and other departments regarding deliveries and stock requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of receiving and inventory records.
• Follow hotel policies, food safety requirements, occupational health and safety procedures, and internal control standards.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Storekeeper, Purchasing Manager, or Management.
