Job summary

Jora Malaysia is offering an Internship in Supply Chain / Logistics for students to assist with warehouse operations, including receiving, storing and issuing materials. You will help maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock is available for daily activities.

The role focuses on practical training in stock control, dispatch planning, and safety standards, with exposure to forklift-related processes and documentation.

Qualifications

• Handle inbound/outbound cargo and maintain stock records in the store section.
• Assist in receiving, releasing, packing, labeling and storage of inventory.
• Support daily warehouse operations to ensure materials are available when required.
• Carry out physical verification on Goods Receipt with justification for insurance claims.
• Oversee receipt and storage of inventory and plan dispatches with proper documentation.
• Ensure accurate stock locations and timely stock-record updates in the system.
• Conduct periodic stock takes and maintain a clean, safe storeroom, especially for hazardous goods.
• Monitor forklift maintenance schedules and gas inventory to ensure safe operations.

Responsibilities

Internship - Supply Chain / Logistic Students / Warehousing

To handle warehouse and store activities, including receiving, checking, storing, and issuing materials. Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring proper stock arrangement, coordinating material movement, and supporting daily warehouse operations to ensure materials are available when required.

Essential Functions

To handle the administrative work of store section activities including all inbound & outbound cargo in respect of receiving, releasing, packing, labelling, maintaining stock records, and storage of inventory and etc.

Secondary of physical verification on Goods Receipt with sufficient justification, which carries a great impact on insurance claims.

Overseeing the receipt and storage of inventory.

Planning the dispatching of goods with the shipping documentation receipt and in place.

To ensure accuracy of stock location and timely updating of stock records in the system to reflect current stock position - Racking & Bin location.

Conducting periodic stock take on inventory.

To ensure the storeroom is always clean, tidy, and properly organized, with appropriate security and safety arrangements in place, especially for chemicals, fragile, and sensitive goods.

To ensure optimal use of storage areas and smooth movement of materials, while maintaining safe and environmentally compliant work practices, as well as monitoring forklift maintenance schedules and gas inventory.
