Job summary

Setel Ventures Sdn Bhd in Malaysia invites interns for a Software Quality Assurance role focusing on Mobility. This internship supports mobile/web client testing and backend services within a growing ecosystem with PETRONAS stations and partners.

You will review requirements, create test cases, estimate testing time, report defects, and collaborate with engineers and product leads while learning SDLC and Agile practices.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in CS/SE or related field.

Responsibilities

Introduced in July 2018, Setel is a mobile platform that aims to delight customers by innovating for better, inclusive mobility. Setel serves customers across Malaysia by powering one app as the constant companion to ease motorists’ journey across fueling, parking, EV charging, motor insurance, road tax, auto assistance, general purchases, and more across an ecosystem of PETRONAS petrol stations, retail partners, and online merchants.

In this role you will:

• Review requirements, specifications, and design documents.
• Create manual test cases, checklists, and other types of test documentation.
• Estimate the required testing time for each user story.
• Perform feature and regression tests on mobile/web clients and backend services.
• Report defects to developers.
• Collaborate with, and provide status updates to, SW Engineers and Product Leads.
• Assist with any related tasks, projects, and other assigned duties as and when deemed necessary.
• Ensure adherence to the compliance of company policies, industry regulations and legal requirements.

You're a great fit if you have/are:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 4 months of internship availability, starting in October/November.
• Basic knowledge of mobile applications, web applications, and REST APIs.
• Understanding of the software SDLC, tools, and processes.
• Interest in software testing and finding defects.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum development processes.
• Detail-oriented and meticulous.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
