Job summary

Coherent Corp. is recruiting for an onsite engineering support role in Ipoh, Malaysia.

The incumbent will assist in assembly process set-up, participate in evaluating new processes and products, and support improvements for low yield issues while ensuring compliance with safety, ESD, and ISO guidelines. The position requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively with the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or its equivalents.
• Willingness to learn and problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to work effectively with other members of Coherent Corp.
• Commitment to SOPs, safety and ISO requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist Supervisor in assembly process set-up and buy-off.
• Support evaluation related to new process/product.
• Support evaluation and analysis for low yield issues and process improvement.
• Assist supervisor in monitoring equipment/material purchase (check PR, PO status).
• Be trained on equipment and process handling per SOPs.
• Follow up on problems as advised by Supervisor.
• Exposure to root cause investigation and corrective actions.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist Supervisor in assembly process set-up and buy-off.
• Support evaluation related to new process/product.
• Support evaluation and analysis for low yield issue and process improvement.
• Assist supervisor in monitoring equipment/material purchase (check PR, PO status etc)
• Will be trained on equipment and process handling follow standard operating procedures.
• Follow up specific problems as advised by Supervisor.
• Exposure to root cause investigation and implementation of corrective action.
• Exposure to technical report preparation and documentation.
• Assist supervisor on establish training plan for operator qualifications.
• Compliance to ISO Requirements, company rules & regulations, applicable codes etc.
• Ensure compliance to Safety, ESD, Cleanroom and Housekeeping guidelines
• To carry out assigned projects from time to time.
• Attend any other trainings as directed by the immediate superior.

Education & Experience

• A bachelor's degree in engineering or its equivalents
