Job summary

HYGR SDN BHD in Malaysia is seeking a formulation-focused chemist to support the development of cosmetic and personal care products. You will work on emulsions, serums, cleansers, and oils, following SOPs and recording results.

You will conduct lab experiments, weigh and mix materials, maintain lab cleanliness, and assist with stability testing, material research, and internal evaluations, ensuring safety and quality compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, Biochemistry, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the formulation of cosmetic and personal care products (e.g., emulsions, serums, cleansers, oils)
• Conduct laboratory experiments following SOPs
• Weigh, mix, and process raw materials accurately according to batch sheets
• Maintain detailed records of formulation trials, stability testing, and lab notes
• Prepare samples for internal evaluations, marketing, or testing purposes
• Participate in stability, performance, and sensory testing of new formulations
• Assist in researching raw materials, trends, and innovative formulation techniques
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lab and equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality protocols
