Job summary

Jora Malaysia is offering an IT Data Centre Intern position to support our technical and operations team in daily data centre activities. You will gain hands-on exposure to IT infrastructure, networking, servers, and data centre operations.

We welcome students pursuing a Diploma or Degree in IT/CS/Networking who are eager to learn, work in a data centre environment, and contribute to a collaborative team while following safety and security procedures.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of computers, networking, and IT infrastructure.
• Willing to learn and work in a data centre environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Responsible, punctual, and willing to follow instructions.
• Able to work independently when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the IT/Data Centre team with daily technical and operational tasks.
• Perform basic monitoring of servers, network devices, and data centre systems.
• Assist with hardware installation, replacement, and basic troubleshooting.
• Perform routine checks on server racks, cabling, power, and equipment status.
• Assist in network cabling, labelling, and cable management.
• Support IT engineers in troubleshooting hardware and network issues.
• Update equipment inventories, documentation, and maintenance records.
• Assist with data centre housekeeping and ensuring equipment areas are properly maintained.
• Follow data centre security, safety, and operational procedures.
• Perform other IT-related tasks assigned by the supervisor.
