Job summary

Waveplus Sdn Bhd is seeking a motivated Process Engineering Intern to support the team in improving manufacturing processes, production efficiency, quality, and overall operational performance.

You will assist in monitoring and optimizing processes, collecting data, and participating in RCA and continuous improvement initiatives. The role offers hands-on experience in a real production environment and exposure to cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical/Chemical/Mechatronics or related field.
• Available for 3–6 months internship.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist Process Engineers in monitoring and improving manufacturing processes.
• Collect, analyze, and maintain production and process data.
• Support RCA and corrective/preventive action activities.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for process improvements.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Process Engineering Intern to support the Process Engineering team in improving manufacturing processes, production efficiency, quality, and overall operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Process Engineers in monitoring and improving manufacturing processes.
• Support process improvement and optimization activities to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
• Collect, analyze, and maintain production and process data.
• Assist in identifying process issues, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
• Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive action activities.
• Assist in preparing and updating process documentation, work instructions, process flow, and related engineering documents.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement projects.
• Support time study, process capability studies, and productivity improvement activities.
• Assist with trial runs, process validation, and implementation of engineering changes.Work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve process-related issues.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation related to process improvement projects.
• Perform other duties and projects assigned by the Process Engineering team.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Available for a minimum internship period of 3–6 months.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Willing to learn and work in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Proactive, responsible, detail-oriented, and willing to take on new challenges.
