Job summary

Setel is offering a data analytics internship in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, commencing September 2026 for a 4–6 month period. You will build and maintain dashboards, analyze transactional data, and support Marketing, Product, and Operations with data-driven insights.

Ideal candidates are pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field, proficient in Excel and SQL, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce, enhance, and maintain recurring reports and dashboards.
• Analyze transactional data and develop automated queries based on business logic.
• Provide campaign data analysis and operational support for Marketing, Product, and Operations teams.
• Develop and execute ad-hoc queries and analyses for business stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation to ensure reproducibility and transparency.
• Identify data gaps and contribute to process improvements.
• Handle confidential information with discretion and ensure policy compliance.

In this role you will:

• Produce, enhance, and maintain recurring reports and dashboards.
• Analyze transactional data and develop automated queries based on required business logic.
• Provide campaign data analysis and operational support for Marketing, Product, and Operations Teams.
• Develop and execute ad-hoc queries and analyses required by business stakeholders.
• Maintain and update documentation to ensure reproducibility and transparency.
• Contribute fresh perspectives, identify areas for improvement, and address gaps in data team processes.
• Assist with any related tasks, projects, and other assigned duties as and when deemed necessary.
• Ensure adherence to the compliance of company policies, industry regulations and legal requirements.

You're a great fit if you have/are:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in related field or similar quantitative discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.)
• Can join us in September 2026 and stay for 4-6 months.
• Proficient in data analysis tools like Excel or SQL.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
• Collaborative team player with a willingness to learn from others.
• Meticulous in ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
