U Mobile Sdn Bhd invites applications for an Internship – AI & Data Analyst in Kuala Lumpur. You will gain hands-on experience in AI, automation, and digital innovation within the IT Portfolio Management Office (PMO).

You will explore AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Codex to develop automation solutions, improve project delivery, and contribute to real business initiatives while building industry skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in AI, Computer Science, IT, CS, Data Analytics, or related field.
• Passionate about AI, automation, and emerging tech with willingness to learn.
• Basic understanding of software development, system integration, and software testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and team collaboration.
• Familiar with Excel, SQL, Power BI, or basic scripting (PowerShell/Bash).
• Experience using AI tools like ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex.
• Basic knowledge of Python, Java, R, or other programming languages.
• Exposure to SQL databases or BI tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Interest in prompt engineering and AI-powered automation.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and evaluate AI capabilities to identify opportunities for portfolio insights, reporting, and automation.
• Design, develop, and implement AI-driven solutions to improve portfolio management frameworks.
• Produce regular self-service dashboard reports for IT portfolio stakeholders.
• Assist with data collection, cleansing, and organization to ensure data integrity.
• Work with IT systems and databases to extract data for analysis and reporting.
• Streamline data management processes to improve accessibility and reporting readiness.
• Develop practical workplace experience and strengthen core skills such as problem solving and stakeholder management.

Day‑to‑Day Activities

• Analyse and evaluate AI capabilities to identify opportunities for improving portfolio insights, reporting, and automation processes.
• Design, develop, and implement AI‑driven solutions that improve the efficiency, accuracy, and coverage of existing portfolio management frameworks.
• Leverage AI tools and capabilities to produce regular self‑service dashboard reports for IT portfolio stakeholders, providing clear visibility of delivery performance.
• Assist with data collection, cleansing, and organization to ensure data integrity, consistency, and reliability.
• Work with IT systems and databases to extract relevant data for analysis, reporting, and portfolio performance tracking.
• Help streamline data management processes to improve data accessibility, usability, and reporting readiness.
• Develop practical workplace experience and strengthen core professional skills, including problem solving, communication, project management, vendor coordination, and stakeholder management.

About You

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Passionate about AI, Generative AI (GenAI), automation, and emerging technologies with a willingness to learn.
• Basic understanding of software development, system integration, and software testing.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Familiar with tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, or basic scripting (e.g., PowerShell or Bash).
• Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex.
• Basic knowledge of Python, Java, R, or other programming languages.
• Exposure to SQL databases or business intelligence tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Interest in prompt engineering and AI‑powered automation.
