CHERY CORPORATE MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is expanding its logistics operations in Malaysia, driving design, optimization, and standardization of inbound, warehousing, line supply, and material handling.
The role collaborates with Production, PPC, Process Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Inventory Control to ensure alignment with engineering requirements and continuous improvement initiatives. The position focuses on safety, ergonomics, KPI-driven improvements, and the implementation of the Chery
Logistics Process Design & Optimization-Design, analyze, and improve logistics processes including inbound receiving, warehousing, line supply, material flow, and internal transportation to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Layout Planning & Material Flow Engineering-Develop and maintain warehouse and shop floor layouts, racking systems, supermarkets, line-side presentation, and flow paths to minimize travel distance and handling.
Packaging & Material Handling Engineering-Support packaging concepts, dunnage design, palletization, and material handling equipment selection to ensure part protection, ergonomics, and space optimization.
Line Supply & Operation Support-Support production line supply setup, mixed-model operations, model changes, and ramp-up activities by ensuring logistics readiness and execution stability.
Safety & Ergonomics Support-Identify logistics safety risks related to material handling, forklift traffic, and line supply operations. Support implementation of safety improvements and standard practices.
TPMS / Chery Production System Implementation-Drive and support continuous improvement initiatives including kaizen, standard work, visual management, and waste elimination within logistics operations.
KPI Analysis & Improvement-Analyze logistics performance data such as productivity, line stoppages, space utilization, and material handling efficiency. Propose and implement improvement actions.
Cross-Functional Coordination-Work closely with Production, PPC, Process Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Inventory Control to ensure logistics processes align with production and engineering requirements.
Standardization & Documentation-Develop and maintain logistics standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, layouts, and engineering documentation.
Project & Improvement Support-Support logistics related projects including new model introduction, line expansion, layout changes, and automation initiatives.
Operational Flexibility-Able to support additional or ad-hoc tasks as required by Management.
