CHINA CONSTRUCTION BANK (MALAYSIA) BERHAD is seeking an Internal Auditor - Credit & Regulatory Audit to conduct risk-based audits across credit risk, corporate, and credit operations. The role assesses the adequacy of policies, approval processes and controls, and ensures compliance with Bank Negara Malaysia regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Business or related discipline.
  • Professional qualification such as CIA, ACCA, CPA, ICAEW or equivalent will be an advantage.
  • Relevant experience in internal audit, credit audit, credit risk, regulatory compliance or banking, preferably within a financial institution.
  • Strong knowledge of credit risk management, and BNM regulatory requirements.
  • Good understanding of banking products, processes, governance and internal control frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, report-writing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to independently assess risks, exercise sound professional judgement and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct risk-based audits covering credit risk, corporate, credit operations and related processes.
  • Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of credit policies, approval processes, credit assessment, monitoring, documentation and controls.
  • Review compliance with applicable Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) regulations, policy documents, regulatory requirements and the Bank's internal policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the Bank's risk management and internal control frameworks.
  • Identify control weaknesses, regulatory gaps and emerging risks, and provide practical recommendations for remediation.
  • Prepare audit reports and communicate significant findings and recommendations to senior management and relevant governance committees.
  • Perform follow-up reviews to assess the timely and effective implementation of agreed audit actions.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of developments in banking regulations, credit risk management and industry practices.
  • Work closely with business and control functions while maintaining appropriate independence and professional scepticism.

Internal Auditor - Credit & Regulatory Audit

Internal Auditor – Credit & Regulatory Audit role involving risk-based audits covering credit risk, corporate, credit operations and related processes.
