Job summary

Silverlake Group of Companies is seeking an QA Engineer Intern to ensure software quality across web, mobile, and backend systems. You will design and execute tests, perform manual and automated testing, and help build robust test frameworks with Selenium and Cucumber JUnit.

The role emphasizes collaboration with developers and product teams to improve quality. Ideal candidates are pursuing or have completed a degree in CS/IT, with 3–6 months of internship experience and strong English

Job description

As a QA Engineer Intern, you will be responsible for ensuring software quality through manual and automated testing across web, mobile, and backend systems. With a strong attention to detail, you will identify and document issues while collaborating with developers and stakeholders in a dynamic environment. Committed to continuous improvement, you will refine testing processes to enhance software reliability and efficiency.

Assisting in design, develop, and execute test cases, and test scripts for all core products of the company.

Assisting in perform manual testing (functional, UI, regression, exploratory) and automated testing (API, UI, performance) as needed.

Assisting in developing and maintaining automated test frameworks and scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cucumber JUnit, or similar.

Assisting to work closely with developers and product teams to identify and resolve defects early in the development lifecycle.

Assisting to conduct root cause analysis of bugs and work to improve defect prevention strategies.

Assisting to ensure that software meets performance, reliability, scalability and acceptance criteria requirements.

Assisting to collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality metrics and ensure a seamless user experience.

Assisting in continuously evaluate and enhance testing processes, tools, and strategies to optimize efficiency.

What You’ll Bring

Currently pursuing or completed Bachelor Degree / Diploma in Software Engineering / Computer Science/ Information Technology, or in any related fields.

Minimum 3-6 months of internship period / duration required.

Excellent written and communication skills in English. Proficiency in other languages will be an added advantage.

Outgoing and resourceful self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and communication ability.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
