Qualifications

  • CGPA of 3.2 or above (or equivalent).
  • Active participation in student organisations, leadership or volunteer work is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; Canva or Adobe familiarity is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in drafting and updating investor decks and corporate presentations.
  • Support editing and formatting of press releases and external communications.
  • Coordinate updates to the corporate website and other digital platforms.
  • Summarise key financial and operational data for materials.
  • Monitor media coverage and compile analyst reports for internal use.
  • Assist in materials for AGM and Annual Report preparation.
  • Help plan and coordinate CSR initiatives and internal communications.
  • Support CSR data collection and reporting progress.
  • Assist with event coordination, including investor briefings.
  • Perform procurement, budgeting and project-tracking support as needed.
  • Conduct benchmarking on industry peers for IR purposes.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc strategic projects to support growth and communications objectives.

Job description

This internship provides an opportunity for students pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Engineering, Communications, or a related field to gain hands‑on exposure within the Corporate Development team at Hibiscus Petroleum. The role offers valuable experience in investor relations, corporate communications, and CSR, contributing to high‑impact projects that shape the Group’s external positioning and internal engagement. You will work closely with a dynamic team to support the preparation of investor materials, corporate branding initiatives, and CSR activities, while gaining a broader understanding of capital markets and stakeholder engagement.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Assist in drafting and updating corporate presentation materials and investor decks.
  • Support the editing and formatting of press releases, and external communications.
  • Help coordinate updates to the corporate website and other digital platforms.
  • Participate in summarising key financial and operational data for communication materials.
  • Monitor media coverage and compile analysts’ reports for internal reporting.
  • Assist with the preparation of materials for the company’s Annual General Meeting and Annual Report.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating CSR initiatives.
  • Support internal communications and employee engagement efforts around CSR programmes.
  • Contribute to CSR data collection and progress tracking for reporting purposes.
  • Provide support in coordinating events, including investor briefings.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to procurement, budgeting, and project tracking.
  • Conduct benchmarking and research on industry peers for investor relations.
  • Assist in ad‑hoc strategic projects supporting the Group’s growth and communication objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Engineering, Communications, or a related discipline.
  • CGPA of 3.2 or above (or equivalent academic performance).
  • Active participation in student organisations, leadership roles, or volunteer work is an added advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with design tools (e.g., Canva or Adobe) is an added advantage.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
