Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Accounting Intern to assist the Finance Department in daily accounting operations, data entry, and documentation. This internship provides hands-on experience in financial record-keeping, account reconciliation, and accounting functions within a professional setting.

You will support month-end and year-end closing activities, assist in preparing financial reports, and liaise with other departments to ensure compliance with accounting policies in a structured finance

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Proficient with Excel and familiar with accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and maintaining accounting documents and records.
• Enter invoices, payment vouchers, and journal entries into the accounting system.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare financial reports, statements and schedules as required.
• Perform bank reconciliation and verify supporting documents.
• File, scan and organize accounting documents.
• Liaise with other departments to collect and verify information.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
• Handle other related duties as assigned by the Finance Executive or Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing and maintaining accounting documents and records.
• Perform data entry of invoices, payment vouchers, and journal entries into the accounting system.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Assist in preparing financial reports, statements, and schedules as required.
• Perform bank reconciliation and check supporting documents for accuracy.
• Help in filing, scanning, and organizing accounting documents.
• Liaise with other departments to collect and verify accounting information.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Finance Executive or Supervisor.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting software (e.g. SQL, AutoCount, or others – if applicable).
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and responsible.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn and able to work in a team environment.
