Job summary

Power Root Berhad is seeking a hands-on finance professional for a 3‑month interim role based in Masai, Johor. You will lead Group Accounts Payable operations, own day-to-day AP and treasury activities, and strengthen controls.

Manage end-to-end payments, bank & cash, and vendor management while guiding a 4–6 member AP team. You should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with strong AP, bank reconciliations, and month-end experience.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AP experience
• Bank reconciliation experience
• Month-end closing experience
• Treasury and cash flow management preferred
• Strong understanding of internal controls, governance, and audit requirements

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full Accounts Payable cycle, including invoice verification and payments
• Review and approve payment proposals per the authorised matrix
• Monitor vendor ageing and ensure timely settlements
• Lead AP team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and service excellence
• Monitor daily bank balances and cash positions across entities
• Plan and schedule payments to optimise cash flow
• Liaise with banks on facilities, account administration, and online banking
• Ensure controls over fund transfers, payment authorisations, and banking transactions
• Ensure timely bank reconciliations and resolve reconciling items
