Job summary

Prodana Wawasan Consulting Engineers Sdn Bhd is seeking an M&E Inspector of Works (IOW) to inspect construction activities, materials, and workmanship for adherence to drawings and quality standards. The role involves coordinating with multiple stakeholders, ensuring safety, and reporting progress on site.

The candidate should hold a Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, be registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia, and have at least 4 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia with minimum 4 years' experience.
• Based at Shah Alam, Selangor and Lenggong, Perak; driving license required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction work, materials, and workmanship to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of all site activities, material and work tests, and ensure all project documents are organized and accessible.
• Oversee and coordinate construction activities, including work performed by sub-contractors, to ensure progress aligns with the project schedule.
• Liaise with architects, consultants, contractors, and other authorities to clarify plans and resolve technical issues.
• Monitor and ensure that safety and health regulations, as well as local building codes, are implemented and complied with on site.
• Provide regular reports to superiors on the progress of the works, noting any outstanding issues, delays, or variations that require attention.
• Conduct inspections and witness the testing of materials and systems to verify compliance with contract specifications.
• Oversee the rectification of defects and conduct final inspections to ensure satisfactory completion and smooth handover of the project

About you

Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

Registered with Board of Engineer Malaysia with minimum 4 years' experience in related field

Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Able to work with minimal supervision

To be based at our project in Shah Alam, Selangor and Lenggong, Perak

Valid driving license
