Job summary

Maxis is seeking an Insights AI Intern to gain hands-on experience applying AI to social listening and market intelligence at Menara Maxis, Kuala Lumpur.

You will support initiatives that help the organisation better understand consumer behaviour, identify market trends, and generate actionable insights under the guidance of the analytics team.

Internship duration is 6 months, starting September 2026, with exposure to AI tools, data analysis and reporting for key projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in progress, скills in AI preferred.
• Familiar with AI tools and applying them to analysis.
• Strong English communication and analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Social Listening – analyze data with AI to identify themes and insights.
• AI Solution Development – prototype AI methods to support insights.
• Market Trends & Insights – identify trends and opportunities via AI.
• Innovation & Problem Solving – propose AI-driven process improvements.
• Reporting & Documentation – summarize findings and recommendations.

Join Maxis as an Insights AI Intern, where you will gain hands‑on experience applying AI to social listening and market intelligence.

You will support initiatives that help the organisation better understand consumer behaviour, identify market trends, and generate actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Social Listening – Work with the social listening tool to understand its capabilities and limitations. Analyse social listening data to identify key themes, conversations, and consumer insights. Explore opportunities to enhance social listening capabilities using AI.
• AI Solution Development – Explore how AI can address gaps and improve existing social listening processes. Experiment with AI tools to support insight generation and analysis. Develop a simple AI solution for social listening.
• Market Trends & Insights – Explore how AI can support the identification of current market trends. Analyse consumer and market information to identify emerging trends and opportunities. Support the team in generating meaningful consumer insights.
• Innovation & Problem Solving – Identify opportunities where AI can improve existing ways of working. Propose innovative solutions to business and insights‑related challenges. Apply critical thinking to improve insight generation and analysis.
• Reporting & Documentation – Create reports on social listening and market trend findings. Summarise key insights and recommendations for stakeholders. Document processes, findings, and project outcomes.

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Strong understanding of AI tools and applications.
• Comfortable using AI to support analysis and solve business problems.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
• Meticulous with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proactive, self‑motivated, and solution‑oriented.
• Curious about consumer behaviour, market dynamics, and unmet needs.
• Good communication skills in English (spoken and written).
