Job summary

TYL Perunding Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our engineering team in Petaling Jaya. You will lead design, development, and delivery of civil infrastructure projects, from feasibility through construction, ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of relevant experience and strong proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, and other industry tools, with a solid understanding of Malaysian building codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional Engineering qualification or BEM registration is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional infrastructure engineering experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MES, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro or similar tools.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian building codes and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in design of roads, drainage, water supply or utilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with ability to present to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools.
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Understanding of project management and coordinating with contractors/consultants.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop infrastructure projects including roads, utilities, drainage systems, and related civil works.
• Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies, and geotechnical assessments.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
• Collaborate with architects, planners, and engineers to integrate infrastructure solutions.
• Perform infrastructure analysis and calculations to meet safety standards and regulations.
• Prepare cost estimates, schedules, and resource plans.
• Conduct site inspections, QA visits and meetings during construction phases.
• Provide engineering support and troubleshoot design issues in the field.
• Liaise with government authorities to obtain necessary approvals and permits.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and records of design and construction activities.

About the role

TYL Perunding Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our engineering team on a full-time basis. This is a strategic role that plays a crucial part in the design, development, and delivery of infrastructure projects that shape communities and support economic growth. Based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, you will work on diverse infrastructure challenges, from planning and conceptual design through to implementation and project delivery. This position offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to infrastructure development whilst working with a dedicated team of professionals committed to engineering excellence.

Key responsibilities

Design and develop infrastructure projects including roads, utilities, drainage systems, and related civil works using industry-standard software and methodologies

Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies, and geotechnical assessments to inform project planning and design decisions

Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and construction documentation for infrastructure projects

Collaborate with architects, planners, and other engineering associate to integrate infrastructure solutions into broader development projects

Perform infrastructure analysis and calculations to ensure designs meet safety standards and regulatory requirements

Prepare cost estimates, schedules, and resource plans for infrastructure projects

Conduct site inspections, quality assurance visits and site meetings during construction phases to ensure compliance with approved designs and specifications

Provide engineering support and troubleshooting during project implementation and resolve design-related issues in the field

Liaise with government authorities, municipal bodies to obtain necessary approvals and permits

Maintain comprehensive project documentation and maintain accurate records of all design and construction activities

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from a recognised institution

Professional Engineering qualification or registration with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) or equivalent professional body is highly desirable

Minimum of 5 years above of professional experience in infrastructure engineering or civil engineering design

Strong proficiency with engineering software such as AutoCAD, MES, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, or similar design and analysis tools

In-depth knowledge of Malaysian building codes, infrastructure standards, and regulatory requirements

Demonstrated experience in the design of infrastructure systems including roads, drainage, water supply, or utility networks

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work on complex technical challenges

Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and project management tools

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment

Sound understanding of project management principles and experience coordinating with contractors and consultants

Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work that meets stringent engineering standards
