Job summary

Infineon Technologies in Malaysia is seeking an Industrial Trainee in Unit Process Engineering to assist engineers with monitoring ion implantation equipment and data analysis. You will handle wafers, collect data, and participate in DOE experiments under a mentor in a cleanroom environment.

Qualifications

• Degree student in Chemical, Physics, Electrical, Mechatronic, IT or other engineering programs.
• CGPA of 3.0 or above.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in monitoring key ion implantation equipment and process parameters.
• Collect, analyze, and summarize process data to identify trends or abnormalities.
• Participate in root cause analysis for process deviations and propose improvements.
• Handle wafers and prepare samples for implantation and metrology following cleanroom protocols.
• Use Tableau, Excel, CEDA to process and visualize data.
• Assist with DOE-based experiments under mentor guidance.
• Record results and present findings to the engineering team.

Your role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Assist engineers in monitoring key ion implantation equipment and process parameters
• Collect, analyze, and summarize process data to identify trends, variations, or abnormalities
• Participate in root cause analysis for process deviations and propose improvement actions.
• Handle wafers and prepare samples for implantation and metrology, following cleanroom protocols.
• Use Tableau, Excel, CEDA, or other data analysis tools to process and visualize experimental or production data.
• Assist with process characterization experiments (DOE – Design of Experiments) under the guidance of a mentor.
• Record results, maintain experiment notebooks, and present findings to the engineering team.

Your profile

• Degree student in Chemical, Physic, Electrical, Mechatronic, IT and others relevant engineering program
• CGPA must be at least 3.00 and above
