Job summary

Genting Malaysia Bhd is seeking a Manager - HR Industrial Relations to drive IR strategies, manage employee relations, and lead union negotiations. You will advise senior leadership on labor laws, design senior management training, and oversee critical IR projects to strengthen organizational compliance.

The role requires strong facilitation, leadership, and project management skills with extensive HR/IR experience. Based in Malaysia with a focus on compliance and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Law, IR or related field.
• 8–10 years of progressive HR/IR experience with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong expertise in employment law and union relations.
• Proven experience in collective bargaining, disciplinary case management, and government liaison.
• Exceptional facilitation and presentation skills, with senior management training experience.
• Strong leadership and project management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement industrial relations strategies that align with business objectives and legal requirements.
• Oversee employee relations cases including grievances, misconduct, and disputes, ensuring fairness and compliance.
• Serve as the primary liaison with labor unions, government agencies, and external stakeholders.
• Advise senior leadership on the interpretation of labor laws, collective agreements, and company policies.
• Design and deliver training programs for senior management on topics like collective bargaining, dispute resolution, and compliance with employment law.
• Lead IR projects (e.g., collective bargaining, digital case management, policy framework reviews).
• Mentor IR team and promote accountability, collaboration and compliance.
