Job summary

Genting Group is seeking an Industrial Relations Manager to drive IR strategies, ensure compliance with employment laws and collective agreements, and lead employee relations, grievances, and union negotiations. The role also delivers training for senior management and leads IR projects to strengthen organizational compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR/IR/Law or related field.
• 8–10 years of progressive HR/IR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong expertise in employment law and union relations.
• Proven experience in collective bargaining, disciplinary case management, and government liaison.
• Exceptional facilitation and presentation skills, with demonstrated training senior management.
• Strong leadership and project management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement industrial relations strategies that align with business objectives and legal requirements.
• Oversee employee relations cases including grievances, misconduct, and disputes, ensuring fairness and compliance.
• Serve as the primary liaison with labor unions, government agencies, and external stakeholders.
• Advise senior leadership on interpretation of labor laws, collective agreements, and company policies.
• Provide strategic advisory to senior management on sensitive employee relations issues and risks.
• Design and deliver training programs for senior management on topics such as collective bargaining, dispute resolution, disciplinary governance, and compliance with employment law.
• Coach senior leaders to strengthen decision-making in handling industrial relations matters.
• Lead high-impact IR projects (e.g., collective bargaining, digital case management, policy reviews).
• Conduct IR trend analysis and prepare strategic recommendations for leadership.
• Implement process improvements to enhance IR maturity.
• Mentor and develop the IR team to build technical and advisory capabilities.
• Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and compliance.
