Job summary

Coway Malaysia invites a senior construction professional to lead end-to-end Design & Build for a new manufacturing facility in Seremban. You will coordinate with design consultants, architects, and contractors to translate concepts into constructible plans and ensure value engineering.

You will oversee all construction phases, optimize schedules, manage CAPEX budgets, and enforce rigorous safety standards per OSHA, DOSH, CIDB and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related technical discipline.
• 8–10 years of progressive experience in construction management delivering large-scale industrial, factory, or manufacturing plant projects via Design & Build.
• Strong leadership, crisis-management, and deep understanding of D&B methodologies, civil works and MEP systems.
• Experience as a client-side Project Manager or with multinationals setting up facilities in Malaysia; Korean nationals in Malaysia advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Design & Build process with design consultants, architects, structural engineers and turnkey contractors.
• Review and approve detailed drawings, layouts and material specifications.
• Oversee all phases from groundbreaking to handover of the manufacturing plant.
• Develop and optimize project schedules to meet milestones without delays.
• Identify bottlenecks in design and execution and implement mitigation strategies.
• Serve as primary contact for main contractors, sub-contractors and site consultants.
• Evaluate tender submissions, negotiate contracts and ensure external partners meet standards.
• Manage the construction budget (CAPEX) and review progress claims and VOs.
• Enforce site safety protocols compliant with OSHA, DOSH, CIDB and local codes.
• Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports and liaise with authorities for approvals and CCC.
