Job summary

YICK HOE GROUP OF COMPANIES seeks a skilled Mechanic Technician to support maintenance and repair ops in a heavy steel manufacturing environment. You will ensure machinery operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime, focusing on electrical and hydraulic systems.

Ideal candidates hold a Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field, with 2–4 years of maintenance experience in steel/heavy industry and strong schematics-reading ability.

Qualifications

• Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 2–4 years of maintenance experience in steel or heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and hydraulic machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including control panels and wiring.
• Maintain and service hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, and cylinders.
• Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions to minimize production disruptions.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety standards and company procedures.
• Support installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
• Collaborate with production teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.
