Job summary

Jabil is seeking an Industrial Eng Technician I to support the Industrial Engineering department in planning, designing, implementing, and managing integrated production and service delivery systems at the Penang site. You will assist with layout changes and input data into IE-related systems.

Key duties include updating the IEDB, creating production visuals, ordering tooling, and ensuring standardization of processes across the site while supporting Lean initiatives and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Understanding and application of a broad range of industrial engineering tools (e.g., work measurement, process mapping, facilities and workstation design).
• Eye for detail when updating systems.
• Basic analytical ability.
• Basic communication skills.
• Proficiency in PC use and MS Office products; Visio, Project, and AutoCAD skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing an area for a line move or process change.
• Update the Product-Process-Time database (IEDB) as directed by IE.
• Update/Create production visuals as directed by IE.
• Order, receive and validate tooling as directed by IE.
• Ensure standardization of Jabil processes across the site per directions.
• Support Lean by maintaining data integrity to aid process improvement.
• Follow all security procedures.
