Job summary

Renesas is seeking an Industrial Engineer to drive productivity and continuous improvement across semiconductor backend test operations at the Penang site. The role focuses on test floor performance analysis, OEE tracking, shop floor layout, and factory automation initiatives on the PZ3 and KD test floors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of semiconductor backend test experience.
• Strong data analysis skills (Excel; SQL/Minitab a plus).
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma concepts.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze test output vs actual performance.
• Track OEE against target and support root-cause analysis.
• Support test floor layout improvements for material flow and efficiency.
• Assist with shop floor layout design and WIP staging areas.
• Coordinate with Production and Planning for daily shop floor planning.
• Prepare performance data and reports for management review.
