Job summary

Jabil Circuit in Penang is seeking an Industrial Engineer to drive production efficiency, optimise workflows and lead continuous improvement initiatives within our manufacturing operations.

You will monitor daily performance, design tooling and workstations, plan layouts, and reduce changeover time while ensuring safety compliance. The role requires a relevant engineering degree and at least 1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of working experience in a related field.
• Strong understanding of industrial engineering tools such as work measurement, process mapping, and workstation design.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and continuously improve daily quality and efficiency performance for assigned production areas.
• Design and procure production tooling, processing equipment, and workstations.
• Coordinate facility layout and workstation relocation activities.
• Prepare time estimates for projects and evaluate time factors.
• Minimise changeover time and machine-generated scrap through data monitoring and corrective actions.
• Analyse workforce utilisation, facility layout, and operational data to optimise efficiency.
• Ensure machine maintenance is performed on schedule.
• Adhere to all safety, health, and company security policies.

About the Role

We are looking for a hands‑on and analytical Industrial Engineer to join our team at Jabil Circuit, Penang. In this role, you will be at the forefront of improving production efficiency, optimising workflows, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across our manufacturing operations.

• Good communication skills with a proactive and results‑driven attitude.
• Willing to be based in Penang (Bayan Lepas or Batu Kawan).
