Job summary

Lam Research Malaysia is seeking an experienced Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer to optimize production lines and drive efficiency. The role focuses on capacity planning, line balancing, and continuous improvement across cross-functional teams.

The candidate will conduct time studies, implement Kanban and Pick To Light systems, and coordinate line layouts and tool relocation while maintaining strong collaboration with engineering and operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mathematics, or Engineering; or 1 year with a Master’s degree.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with AutoCAD and system-related tools considered an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and planning skills.
• Demonstrated drive for business and process improvements.
• Proven ability to perform effectively with minimal supervision.

• Capacity Planning: perform capacity analysis for long- and medium-term resource planning aligned with forecasts.
• Execute line balancing and process optimization to maximize line efficiency.
• Conduct gap analysis between actual vs theoretical performance and drive closure actions.
• Productivity Improvement: lead labor-hour reduction and cycle-time improvement projects.
• Coordinate tool relocation and production line re-layout activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve key operational KPIs.
• Perform time-study data collection and analysis, driving continuous improvement.
• Pick To Light (PTL) and Kanban setup and ongoing maintenance.

The impact you’ll make

Creates and develops design concepts and specifications that optimize the function, ergonomics, perceived value and appearance of physical hardware products and systems for product consumers and end users. Partners with internal and external marketing and design groups to research and analyze design trends and customer feedback for incorporation into product enhancements, new product design and overall design language and strategy. Produces and validates product design specifications and production requirements with insourced and outsourced manufacturing and engineering groups.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mathematics, or Engineering; or 1 years of experience with a Master’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with additional skills in AutoCAD and system‑related tools considered an advantage.


• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and planning skills.


• Demonstrated drive for business and process improvements.
