Job summary

Lam Research seeks a Global Production Control Planner to own production control across the factory network, leading site teams, standardizing processes, and driving continuous improvement for faster, more predictable order execution.

You will shape global vision, develop tools and metrics, coach teams, and partner with manufacturing, planning, and supply chain to achieve scalable, high-performance operations in hybrid work setups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 6-8 years of management experience.
• 10+ years of experience in Production Control, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, or related field.
• 5+ years of leadership experience, leading global or multi-site operations in a matrixed environment.
• APICS Certifications.
• Strong expertise in production planning, scheduling, and execution.
• Demonstrated ability to influence, drive change, and deliver operational improvements.

The impact you’ll make

The Global Production Control Planner serves as the global functional owner for Production Control across the factory network. This role provides matrix leadership to site-based teams, driving alignment, standardization, and continuous improvement in production planning and execution.

This role is pivotal to transforming Production Control into a globally consistent, scalable capability that enables Order Execution excellence. By driving standardization, improving execution discipline, and strengthening capability, the Global Production Control Planner ensures the organization can meet customer demand with speed, quality, and predictability.

What You’ll Do

• Develop Global Vision & Standards: Develop and deploy Production Control strategy, processes, and best-known methods (BKM’s) across all sites


• Drive Matrix Alignment: Influence and align site-based teams globally; ensure adoption of standards without direct authority


• Deliver Operational Excellence: Lead initiatives to improve scheduling accuracy, cycle time, and execution predictability


• Enable Scalable Execution: Develop tools, metrics, and governance to drive consistency and performance across the network


• Build Capability: Strengthen organizational capability through coaching, development frameworks, and knowledge sharing


• Partner Cross-Functionally: Collaborate with Order Execution, Manufacturing, Planning, and Supply Chain to ensure end-to-end alignment

Who We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 6-8 years of management experience. An advanced degree preferred.


• 10+ years of experience in Production Control, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, or related field


• 5+ years of leadership experience, leading global or multi-site operations in a matrixed environment


• APICS Certifications


• Strong expertise in production planning, scheduling, and execution


• Demonstrated ability to influence, drive change, and deliver operational improvements

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing environments


• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production planning tools


• Experience supporting large-scale business transformation or scaling initiatives
