Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to inspect, troubleshoot, repair and maintain HV/LV installations and production equipment. The role focuses on keeping electrical systems, motor drives and instrumentation running with minimal downtime.

You will read schematics, install and test equipment, participate in plant shutdowns, and uphold safety standards including LOTO and 5S practices.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Chargeman Certificate – A0 or A1.
• Certificate/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Able to read and interpret electrical drawings, circuit diagrams and schematics.
• Willing to work during shutdowns, overtime or on-call when required.
• Fresh graduates with a valid A0/A1 Chargeman Certificate are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspection, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of electrical installations, including HV and LV equipment.
• Monitor operating condition and performance of electrical systems and motors to minimize downtime.
• Perform scheduled preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance of production machinery and facility systems.
• Attend to unplanned electrical breakdowns and emergency repairs.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, circuit diagrams and schematics.
• Install, dismantle, modify, assemble and test electrical equipment.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
• Participate in plant shutdown activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety and 5S requirements.
• Work with Operations, Engineering, internal teams and contractors.
