Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a dynamic Sales Engineer to drive new business development across Malaysia, employing consultative, solution-selling methods to identify and win opportunities. You will conduct customer visits, product demonstrations, and build long-term relationships while collaborating with the Singapore technical support team to deliver robust industrial automation solutions.

Qualifications

Diploma/Degree in Engineering or related field.
4–5 years' experience in Technical Sales, Sales Engineering, or Business Development.
Knowledge of industrial automation products such as sensors, PLCs, power supplies, electronic circuit protection, machine automation, or ELV/DC solutions.
Independent, self-driven, and willing to travel across Malaysia.
Stable career history preferred.

Responsibilities

Drive new business development by identifying and opening new accounts across Malaysia.
Adopt a consultative, solution-selling approach to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
Conduct customer visits, field demonstrations, and product presentations.
Build strong relationships with customers and develop long-term business opportunities.
Work closely with the Singapore technical/application support team to provide technical solutions to customers.
Develop and expand the company's market presence in Malaysia through proactive hunting activities.
Manage the sales pipeline from prospecting through to closing.
Travel across Malaysia to meet customers and support business development activities.
Work independently with a high level of autonomy and minimal supervision.
