Job summary

Flex is seeking a Commodity Analyst Indirect in Perai, Penang to support RFQ processes, spend analysis, and supplier coordination for indirect procurement. You will partner with operations, engineering and finance to clarify requirements and drive cost savings.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 3–5+ years in procurement or materials planning, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with Excel and ERP systems. Flex offers life insurance, medical benefits, allowances and bonuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or materials planning.
• Experience in data analysis, RFQ handling, and supplier coordination.
• Knowledge of indirect procurement or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills (cost analysis, pricing comparison).
• Proficiency in Excel and procurement/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Support RFQ process, price analysis, and supplier selection for indirect spend categories.
• Conduct data analysis on spend, pricing trends, and cost drivers.
• Assist in negotiations and contract execution with selected suppliers.
• Maintain and monitor supplier performance and delivery compliance.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (operations, engineering, finance) to clarify requirements.
• Support cost savings, cost avoidance, and inventory optimization initiatives.
• Analyze and report commodity risks, market trends, and sourcing opportunities.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies and processes.
