Job summary

Flex in Penang is seeking a Commodity Analyst Indirect to join our procurement team in Perai. You will support RFQ processes, analyze spend data, and assist in supplier selection for indirect procurement across manufacturing needs.

You will coordinate with operations, engineering and finance, monitor supplier performance, and contribute to cost savings, risk analysis, and contract execution. A bachelor's degree and 3-5+ years in procurement are required, with strong Excel and ERP skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or materials planning.
• Experience in data analysis, RFQ handling, and supplier coordination.
• Knowledge of indirect procurement or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills (cost analysis, pricing comparison).
• Proficiency in Excel and procurement/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Support RFQ process, price analysis, and supplier selection for indirect spend categories
• Conduct data analysis on spend, pricing trends, and cost drivers
• Assist in negotiations and contract execution with selected suppliers
• Maintain and monitor supplier performance and delivery compliance
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (operations, engineering, finance) to clarify requirements
• Support cost savings, cost avoidance, and inventory optimization initiatives
• Analyze and report commodity risks, market trends, and sourcing opportunities
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies and processes
