Job summary

Flex in Perai, Penang seeks a Commodity Manager Indirect to lead sourcing strategy, supplier management and cost optimization across indirect spend categories.

You will partner with operations, engineering, finance, HR and EHS to support business needs, drive savings, manage KPIs and develop procurement capability across sites.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years in procurement, multi-site experience and a strong track record in negotiation and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of procurement/sourcing experience, preferably in indirect categories.
• Experience in multi-site or regional supplier management.
• Strong track record in cost reduction, negotiation, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for indirect spend (e.g., MRO, services, CapEx support)
• Drive cost savings, demand management, and supplier consolidation initiatives
• Lead supplier selection, contract negotiation, and performance management (KPIs/QBRs)
• Partner with operations, engineering, finance, HR, and EHS to support business needs
• Ensure procurement compliance and governance (e.g., No PO No Service)
• Monitor market trends and manage supply risks and continuity plans
• Track and report savings, KPIs, and supplier performance metrics
• Lead and develop procurement team capability across sites
