Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Indirect Category/Buyer Lead to manage indirect spend across three plants and a small team. You will drive category strategies, run tenders and negotiations, and ensure strong supplier performance within policy guidelines.

The role reports to the Head of Procurement and is based at the Susumas Plant in Batu 3, Subang Hi-Tech. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in indirect procurement, preferably in FMCG, and a proven track record of

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field.
• Minimum 5 years procurement experience with focus on indirect categories in FMCG, dairy, or multinational environments.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and contract management skills with proven savings delivery.
• Confident communicator capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and strong Excel skills.
• Proactive, detail-oriented and solutions-focused.
• Sound understanding of procurement ethics, governance and risk management.

We are looking for a skilled and commercially minded Indirect Category/Buyer Lead to join our team. In this role, you will manage the sourcing and procurement of indirect goods and services across the business and ensuring that we get best-in-class value while maintaining strong supplier relationships and full compliance with procurement policies. This role oversees indirect procurement activities across 3 plants, reporting directly to the Head of Procurement while leading a team of 2 Procurement Specialists. The position is based at Susumas Plant, Batu 3, Subang Hi-Tech.

What You'll Be Doing

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or a related field; a professional procurement certification is an advantage
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience with a focus on indirect categories, ideally within an FMCG, dairy, or multinational environment
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and contract management skills with a proven track record of delivering savings and value
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
