Job summary

As an Indirect Procurement Specialist, you will lead local category purchasing strategies to optimise total cost of ownership and build resilient, sustainable supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute local indirect procurement strategies aligned with broader business targets.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to assess category demands, refine specifications, and drive cost efficiencies.
• Spearhead end-to-end sourcing activities, including market tendering, contract negotiations, and commercial terms.
• Oversee supplier performance, evaluate delivery metrics, and mitigate supply chain risk across local vendors.
• Enforce corporate purchasing policies, tracking realised savings alongside financial stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of indirect procurement experience, with a background in retail or fast-moving consumer goods.
• Proven ability in Total Cost of Ownership analysis, supplier negotiations, and category sourcing.
• Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning and digital e-sourcing tools.
• Strong professional communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability with high analytical precision.
