Job summary

Mindcare Therapy Centre in Skudai, Johor is seeking a dedicated Special Needs Teacher for a full-time role. You will design and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and deliver adapted instruction to students with diverse learning needs.

The position emphasizes inclusive teaching, collaboration with families and colleagues, use of assistive technology, and ongoing professional development to support students’ development and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Develop individualised education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
• Deliver specialised instruction in core subjects adapted to diverse learning styles and levels.
• Assess progress through observation, testing and evaluation, adjusting teaching strategies.
• Collaborate with parents, guardians and other educators to ensure consistent support and communication.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes confidence, engagement and wellbeing.
• Provide one-to-one or small group instruction for students with difficulties or disabilities.
• Utilise assistive technology and specialised teaching materials to facilitate learning.
• Monitor and document student progress to inform future planning.
• Participate in professional development to enhance teaching practices.
